Why Are Democrats So Excited About November?
It is far too early to predict the results of the upcoming November midterm elections. After all, it’s still primary election season.
Nonetheless, national media – a/k/a, Democrats with bylines and chyrons – are breathlessly predicting a November “blue wave,” a blowout that, next January, will flip both Congressional chambers from narrow Republican into solid Democrat majorities.
Not to be too repetitive here, ABCCBSNBCMSNOWCNNNYT, etc., but it is too early to predict the results of the upcoming November midterms.
Actually, Democrats/Democrat-affiliated media know it’s not in the bag. Their noisy enthusiasm is merely a psychological operation designed to 1) energize their base, and, 2) demoralize Republican voters.
If enough Republicans and R-leaning Independents can be convinced that their votes are meaningless in a guaranteed wave election, perhaps enough will simply forego voting and make media’s prophecies self-fulfilling.
Don’t fall for it.
The latest Harvard Harris poll of likely midterm congressional voters shows a 50-50 Democrat/Republican dead heat.
Media hype is all Democrats have. They lack policy, money…everything – except anger and a desire for vengeance for past losses and on the people who won or outvoted them.
Money? Democrats lack money?!
There’s a good chance they will.
Having raised over $16 billion for Democrat candidates and causes, political action committee Act Blue is the Democrats’ primary fundraising platform. In the 2024 election cycle alone, ActBlue raised more than $3.8 billion for Democrats.
Recently, ActBlue employees invoked their Fifth Amendment right at least 146 times during depositions with congressional committees investigating donor fraud. They refused to respond to questions concerning alleged illegal foreign donations, money laundering, “election interference,” and illegal “straw donor” schemes.
ActBlue’s cash spigot could go dry.
Furthermore, Republican national committees, congressional committees, and state parties have been outraising Democrats.
And, on April 29, the U.S. Supreme Court’s colorblind Louisiana v. Callais ruling struck down grotesquely-gerrymandered, race-based congressional maps that create minority districts at the expense of equal representation. The Court allowed for immediate, pre-midterm redistricting to remedy the inequities. The unconstitutional, racially-gerrymandered districts are held by Democrats.
Accordingly, midterm House redistricting could add Republican House seats in double-digits.
And more black voters, particularly younger blacks, are becoming “political free agents,” leaning toward the GOP.
Moreover, seniors’ and service employees’ votes will be influenced by the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill’s tax breaks on Social Security, tips and overtime income they know Democrats opposed.
Reader “policy” challenge:
Name a single Democrat policy – just one – on securing the border, lowering living costs, reducing crime rates, job creation, or economic growth.
America is listening, but, so far, all voters have heard from Democrats about their major policy concerns is…crickets…
Other than their psychotic hatred for President Donald Trump, his cabinet, his voters, the American military and law enforcement, the primary things America are hearing from elected Democrats and their media cheerleaders are law fare, obstruction, illegal aliens’ “rights,” LGBTQ+ issues, chemical and surgical mutilation of minors, denying parental rights, unrestricted abortion, raising taxes to spend on social programs, and promoting divisive racial programs like Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Finally, while popularity may be a problem for both parties, only one may have a realistic chance to recover.
According to a Gallup survey, overall congressional approval has fallen to 10 percent, with a record 86 percent disapproving. Support for Democrats has collapsed to just 3 percent, one point above Gallup’s lowest recorded level.
Republican members have only 20 percent approval, but that has a chance to swing decisively.
Surveyed Democrats are critical of their own party’s strategy of delay tactics, including filibusters and procedural blocks, while Republicans are dissatisfied with their congressional members’ failure to follow through on their own agenda.
The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, a top GOP priority that has broad bipartisan public support, remains stalled in the Senate after Democrats weaponized the filibuster to block a vote, thereby denying the narrow Republican majority the ability to enact a fundamental, overwhelmingly-popular issue.
If Senate Republicans grow a collective spine, and either force a voice filibuster or change the rules to pass the bill by a simple majority, they will energize their voters, gain popularity, and the bill’s prohibition of cheating methods Democrats have exploited for years will eliminate many fraudulent votes in November.
