Harris Leads Newsome in Presidential Preference Polls

In a media cycle dominated by President Trump, there is little coverage so far of the intensifying race for the 2028 Democratic nomination. Slowly but surely, the various hopefuls are positioning themselves and staking out their territory.

Right now, it’s a two-person race, between former Vice President Kamala Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and Newsom has the momentum (at least for now).

Newsom’s campaign for president combines that media experience with relentless online trolling, to the enthusiastic approval of the left-leaning media. It is clear to any casual observer that Newsom is the favored candidate of the media and cultural elites within the Democratic Party

But according to the polls, he is not the front-runner. Harris is.
