FOLMER TO APPEAR AT CITIZEN'S CAUCUS FUNCTION
Will Address Need For Ethics Reform

The Citizen's Caucus of Lebanon County (CCLC) has announced that State Senator Mike Folmer will be the featured speaker at the group's inaugural meeting on Saturday, August 16. He will address the 'Bonusgate' scandal currently unfolding in the Pennsylvania legislature, the need for ethics reform in Harrisburg, and his proposal for a state Constitutional Convention.

The CCLC, organized as a government study group dedicated to open debate of current government issues, is chaired by Herbert Braden of South Annville.

"The formation of the Citizen's Caucus was to provide a vehicle for the general
public to obtain first-hand exposure to the important issues which drive decisions in government," Braden said. "We hope to provide balanced discussion of both sides of sometimes complicated problems."

Organized by several participants of educational coursework offered by the
Constitutional Organization Of Lebanon (COOL), the CCLC is modeled after the 18-year success of Lancaster County ACTION.

"We will use some of the elements of ACTION in our group," Braden said.

Louis Petolicchio, 2008 Chairman of COOL, complimented the organization of the CCLC as a natural progression in promoting awareness of the issues confronting political leaders.

"When people begin learning what issues they're community and state are facing, it is only natural for them to want to learn more so they can make better informed decisions when going to the polls," he said.

The first public meeting of the CCLC featuring Folmer will begin at 8:00 AM at the Hometown Family Restaurant on Route 422 in Palmyra, and a buffet breakfast will be offered for a price of $10.00.
