Dear Lowman,

Enjoy this Issue which focuses more on "hammering the homeowner and households on fixed income". You can view more posts on my blog.

Part 4

Bucks County's Commissioners approved new five year wage increase for 800 AFSCME county employees- spending increases sets the stage for tax- and while the article references average AFSCME wage of $35,000, it fails to mention the average wage of average Bucks County resident whose incomes are not rising as fast as collectivized county employees.

More importantly, read the comments, not one says the compulsory union worker is more productive with the increased pay. Many resent that union workers use their collective political power to avoid sharing in cost of health benefits. And who pays: homeowners on fixed income and productive taxpayers and for what? Better and more useful government services of their choice?

Wyomissing Homeowners on Fixed Income/Productive taxpayers and residents facing gas, health and food costs rising faster than income hammer back When homeowners can express themselves, they are voting "no" to the escalating costs of government and, in particular, school board expenditures that burden WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE THAT ANY CHILD IS LEARNING MORE. School teacher unions and their complicit School Board Administrators, who are, also, earning more and more, are single largest cause of higher and higher property taxes.

Part 6

Letters to the Editor in East Penn School District are articulate and focused. Both writers are Republican Committee people. It seems it is the Republicans sensitive to Homeowners on Fixed Income and productive taxpayers whose incomes are not rising as fast as gas, health and food costs. And for all the School spending increases, is there any evidence that even one child learns more?

School Board members Mark Prinzinger, 24, and Julian Stolz, 20, who voted ( 7-2) against the 4.4% tax increase, the fifth year in a row for spending and tax increases, are doing their best to keep taxes down in East Penn School District. The School Board is, without compassion, hammering homeowners on fixed income whose incomes do not rise as fast as inflation and taxes. They have been productive taxpayers, savers, investors and now hammered out of their own homes.

Part 7

Unionville-Chadds Ford School District's third try at referendum to raise taxes. Add Unionville-Chadds Ford to those fighting back against unproductive increased spending, increased spending that does not increase student learning performance.

Santa Claus politicians and parents who act like spoiled children who want what they want and think it is free of any cost. Or, free to them and, perfectly willing to have productive taxpayers pay for them.
A colleague, a resident in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District in Chester County reports that a friend who is on our local school board keeps pestering me to come to the meetings and counter the demands of the soccer moms for astro-turfed playing fields, state-of-the-art sound studios, etc.

My colleague, a financial analyst and productive taxpayer, went once and left in disgust after two hours of listening to sycophantic school board and sycophantic parents of patting themselves on the back for increasing the average score of some meaningless standardized test by a half a point. Since then our school board has tried and fail twice to get the public to pass referendums authorizing massive borrowing (over $80 million) for just those things mentioned above.

Now they are threatening to try a third time. The spoiled, whiny soccer moms are like the little Suzy's in Don Boudreaux's article.

And they are mighty upset when Santa doesn't bring them what they want.
