Marriage News

Why Do We Need a Constitutional Amendment to Protect Marriage? "It advances a single purpose - the preservation of Pennsylvania's marriage policy as understood throughout the existence of the Commonwealth - by reaffirming the legal definition of marriage," said Deborah Hamilton of the coalition Pennsylvania for Marriage.

Pennsylvania for Marriage Op-Ed Published in Harrisburg Patriot-News. The Harrisburg Patriot-News published an op-ed by Deborah Hamilton of Pennsylvania for Marriage this past week. Hamilton discussed the need for SB 1250 to protect Pennsylvania from counterfeit marriages. "If we don't act now to pass Senate Bill 1250, which will prevent any type of counterfeit marriage, Pennsylvania will most likely find itself in the midst of the radical social change being demanded in New Jersey, Connecticut and Vermont," said Hamilton .

Please contact the members of the appropriations committee in advance of their hearing on April 29th and ask them to support SB 1250. You can use our Citizen Action Center to contact them directly via email or by phone.
