Campbell Calls on Rep. Glen Grell to Support Anti-Strike Legislation

YARDLEY, PA, Jan 25 --

Having posted the individual names and salaries of all Cumberland Valley teachers on its website (www.stopteacherstrikes.org), StopTeacherStrikes President, Simon Campbell, issues the following statement:

"Cumberland County Republican State Representative Glen Grell (R-87) has refused to co-sponsor the Strike-Free Education Act (HB 1369) to ban teacher strikes in Pennsylvania. Representative Grell has been silent on the threatened strike in his local School District. Unfortunately Representative Grell is not so passive when it comes to taking campaign contributions and endorsements off the teachers' union. Parents and taxpayers are fed up with State Representatives who pander to the teachers' union to get themselves reelected. We immediately call upon Representative Grell to co-sponsor the Strike-Free Education Act and to stop cashing union campaign checks."
