JOHNSTOWN, PA - November 13, 2007 - The Pennsylvania Republican, a conservative monthly newspaper set to launch at the end of this month, is offering a digital sneak-peak of its first issue on its Web site, www.pennrepublican.com.
"We've invested in cutting-edge technology that allows us to showcase a working prototype of our publication, without really leaking our content before our subscribers get their copies," said Chris Voccio, editor and publisher of the new publication.
The technology allows visitors to the Web site to flip through the pages of the publication, without being able to actually read each article. "Imagine if I held a copy of a newspaper for you to look at, but I kept it ten feet from you," Voccio said, explaining how the technology works. "You would be able to get a glimpse of the publication, and you would see the headlines, but you would still need to purchase a copy to actually read it," said Voccio.
The first issue of the publication is scheduled to be mailed to subscribers at the end of November. The deadline to subscribe is November 15.
