PENNSYLVANIANS FOR UNION REFORM (PFUR)
v.
GOVERNOR TOM WOLF

On Friday January 30th Pennsylvanians for Union Reform sued Governor Tom Wolf in Commonwealth Court. We are asking the Court to declare Wolf’s purported termination of Erik Arneson, the Executive Director of the Office of Open Records (OOR) to be illegal. We also ask the court to put a "stay" on a pending Right to Know appeal that we filed with the Office of Open Records. See this news story from the Pittsburgh Tribune Review.

We have a "no nonsense" video explaining PFUR’s lawsuit on our Facebook page and website.

Do not watch this video if you want political correctness!

On January 26th Erik Arneson and the Senate Majority Caucus filed their own lawsuit against Governor Wolf. Our lawsuit is separate to theirs but related. Both lawsuits seek a declaration that Wolf cannot treat the OOR’s Executive Director as an "at will" employee. The Right to Know law specifies that the position carries a six year protected term of employment.

PFUR is a Requester under the Right to Know law. We sit in the seat of the public. If Requesters cannot be assured of an independent Office of Open Records to process appeals then the Right to Know law is dead. D.E.A.D. It’s that simple.

Your help is needed!

Lawsuits cost money and donations are welcome. As a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization donations to PFUR are confidential. Just as importantly, please go to our Facebook page and SHARE our video on your own wall. We’re asking that our video be sent VIRAL with your help.

Like and SHARE our video on Facebook. Wolf needs to be sent a message that he cannot act like a thug and treat the OOR as an extension of the Governor’s Office.

In liberty!
