Our mission is to build a network of funding sources and a community of activists who will advance an agenda that embraces a philosophy of Constitutional Limited Government, the Rule of Law, Economic Freedom, and the traditional values that sustain individual initiative, personal autonomy and responsibility.

Our network community is dedicated to replacing current elected liberal central planners who believe in command and control socialism by a few elite technocrats, the few ruling the many, with leaders who support the freedom of the individual, free markets engaged in free trade, and free market solutions to healthcare, retirement, energy and education.

Dear Lowman,

The Lower Merion Democratic Majority voted a 2.7 % tax increase in adopting Lower Merion's budget for 2010 of $52.7 million dollar General Fund. I draw a comparison with Walmart and private citizens, all of whom are cutting expenditures. Only government is increasing expenditure and only government employees seem to be getting pay increases.

The fiscal future, in my opinion, rests with the Republican Party becoming united as the Party of The Forgotten Taxpayer and Free Markets. Specter Republicans have a home in Democratic Party.

I also draw you attention to Republican candidate for 6th House district Howard Cohen of Bala Cynwyd in Lower Merion, a solid fiscal conservative. Curt Schroder and Steve Welch are Republican and fiscal conservatives.

Howard Cohen Announces Candidacy for 6th District US House

Howard Cohen has lived in Bala Cynwyd with his wife for 32 years and it's where his two kids grew up. Howard is well-known in this community. His 6th Congressional District candidacy announcement speech is dead on with its focus on cutting payroll taxes to encourage employment and productivity and growing America. He is not a career politician and will not get rich from government. I hope you will take time to read his statement set out below to make up your own mind.
His web site will be up shortly. Jamestown Associates will be the campaign consultant. The campaign consultant tells you something about the candidate. How tied he is in to Establishment and how much money his campaign will spend outside Voter Contact. Voter Contact is key and the more money spent on consultants, the less there is to spend on communicating with voters.
I have known Howard Cohen for years and this is authentically Howard Cohen. Measured, careful, practical in advancing his principles, committed to Free Markets and Constitutional Limited Government. Most definitely not a fanatic; most definitely says what he means and means what he says.

Read Howard's announcement speech.

Frugality Everywhere but at LMBOC

Frugality is not here in Lower Merion where the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners Majority, with the police power to impose tax increases. Higher taxes deprive individual citizens of the choice of how and when to spend their own money.

The Future of RCLMN and the Specter Republicans: A House Divided

Specter Republicans must be encouraged to follow their leader into the Democratic Party. A House Divided on core principles and ideas cannot stand.
The primary purpose of the Republican Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth is to elect Republicans and to promote Republican ideas and ideals for America and for our community. It has failed because it has been conflicted by support on the one hand for senior Senator Arlen Specter(who betrayed his supporters and reverted to professing a radical-Democrat agenda) and real Republicans(who were subjected to his philosophical and policy bankruptcy over the decades). Sen. Specter has delivered a dearth of ideas with dose of Earmarked Pork for decades.
Inevitably, blurred and contradictory policies emerged, and no amount of public/private discussion could dislodge him from implementing his brand of political opportunism. [As many of you know, I know this from personal experience, over the years, despite protracted and yeoman efforts to "relate" with him.] Merely note the stark contrast between his attacks on ClintonCare (with his infamous poster depicting the bloated-bureaucracy it would have created) and his embrace of ObamaCare (which is a far worse intrusion on individual rights, the free market, and principles of Constitutional Limited Government).
Complicit in this hijacking of our local party were Tracey Specter, who resigned November 2009, and the Specter Republicanswho, for example, suppressed any reference to people who opposed Arlen's increasingly-isolated flip-flop policy positions. All year, did Tracey Specter or her inner circle of Specter Republicans choose to invite prominent senatorial (Pat Toomey, Peg Luksik) or congressional (any of the 6th District) candidates...to discuss such positions that were knowingly counter tothose of her father-in-law? She certainly cannot rationalize-away these opportunities to "get to know" our leadership, for the local electoral results do not reflect any newfound ability to achieve off-year gains in the township races. And we are now witnessing the hegemony of the Democrats, poised to raise taxes to finance a multi-million-dollar "feel-good" Ludington Library.
Ideas and Ideals Unite
The Republican Party can be the party of individual freedom, free markets for free people, free trade, protected by Constitutional Limited Government, the Rule of Law, from oppressive police power of government, small business people, the innovative inventive individual entrepreneur.
The Democratic party is the party of Big Government Liberal Earmarking Statist Collectivists, redistributing the wealth of others, using government to get rich,
The Tax Collector, the Trial Lawyers, Big Government protected Monopoly Unionists, Big Government Monopoly Schools.
